Hop into Easter
Easter arrives early in the northwest valley with a few family‑friendly events that are more about smiles than breaking news. Here’s what’s happening this week:
🐰 Summerlin Bunny Trail (April 1, 1:30–4:30 p.m.)
At Vistas Park, residents can “hippity hop‑on‑over” for the annual Summerlin Bunny Trail. The community egg hunt promises a bounce down the trail in search of goodies, games and prizes. Beyond the hunt there will be furry farm animals, popular mascot characters, face painting and crafts. Families are encouraged to stop by Bunny Hollow to meet Mr. and Mrs. Bunny.
Registration opens March 15; wristbands cost $8 for ages 4–14 and $5 for kids three and under
Easter Eggstravaganza at Pavilion Center Pool (April 4, 9 –10:30 am)
Kids can participate in a grass egg hunt with games, crafts and music, then join two different “egg dives” in the pool: an outdoor hunt for ages 3–6 at 9, a shallow pool hunt for ages 5–12 at 9:30, and a deep‑water hunt for ages 7–12 at 10. Parents should bring a bucket (mesh bags are best for the pool), and non‑swimmers will need a floatation device.
Ticket prices are $4 per child.
Catch the Bunny 5K/1M & Easter Egg Hunt at Wayne Bunker Family Park (April 4 8-9:30 am)
Wayne Bunker Family Park hosts the Catch the Bunny 5 K and 1‑mile run on Saturday, April 4. After the race, families can enjoy music, flag‑football activities, food trucks and an Easter egg hunt at 9:15 for participants aged 17 and under wearing a race bib. The event benefits the Slightwork Girls Flag Football program helping fund equipment, tournament fees, and travel expenses.
Event pricing is $45 for the 5k and $32.50 for the 1 mile with $5 off for participants $17 & under.
Registration for the event ends at 11:59, April 3rd

A Hidden Gem
Hidden amongst the homes of the Northwest lies the art museum of UNLV’s first art professor.
The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum on North Park Street offers free admission on the first Saturday of every month. The museum sits on the artist’s former property and showcases her life’s work, from paintings and prints to sculpture and stained glass. According to Executive Director Laura Sanders, the museum “is not just a space to view art; it is a venue where visitors can truly connect with the creative spirit” of Abbey.

Week Ahead
Tuesday
Our Las Vegas Aviators play the first game of a triple header against the OKC Comets. On Tuesdays all season-long the Aviators adopt their alternative persona, Reyes de Plata, Paying homage to the migrant workers that helped shape the rich mining history of Nevada.
Wednesday
The second game for the Aviators comes with Park on the Burn period throughout the season. Wednesdays at the Las Vegas ballpark. Welcome fans to bring their dog and cheer on the team.
Thursday
At the midway point against the Comets comes with $2 beer night at the plaza, happening every Thursday throughout the season from 6 pm to 8pm.
The Golden Knights hope to extinguish the Calgary Flames at 7 pm in the Fortress by stopping Matt Coronato’s 6 points in the last 5 games. It’s also UNLV knight, ticket packages include a UNLV X VGK jersey.

Friday baseball brings substitutes its normal firework show for a L.V. Aces baseball jersey giveaway for the first 2,000 fans
First Friday
Saturday
The fifth game of the series continues the celebration of our 2025 PCL championship with a Champs cap giveaway for the first 2,000 fans.
Bring the whole family to a classic car and paw parade! The Family Spring Fling takes place at Floyd Lamb Park from 10am to 2pm. Beyond the cars and dogs check out the crafts fair, local vendors, pet vendors or enjoy the live DJ.

The program hopes to draw biotech starters and investors to the region.
🫘 A new food truck: Stacked Smokewagon described as Southern Fusion has a trailer is coming to the northwest side of the valley with classic comforts and new options like stacked brisket mac and cheese and smoked pork belly elotes.
🏒 The Torts Era: Your Las Vegas Golden Knights have started a new era with coach John Tortorella made his debut as the new head coach with a 4-2 win over the Canucks. With just 8 games left we hope this is the spark needed to secure a playoff spot.
🏞 A New Grand Park: The first portion of the Grand Park in Summerlin has finally opened. This expansive 9o acre park is the centerpiece planned for Summerlin West. The new section includes fresh baseball diamonds, six pickle ball courts, a seasonal splash pad, and a playground.
