Good morning, Las Vegas. We are in for some nasty weather today. The National Weather Service says that we will be reaching the upper 90’s and setting some heat records this week. Stay hydrated, friends.

In today’s Northwest Digest:

  • More trails than you think

  • Green Beer

  • Music festival return

Let’s get to it.

Explore The Area

There’s a quiet shift happening around Summerlin, and most locals probably haven’t noticed how big it could become.

A growing network of regional trails is taking shape as part of a planned 2,000-plus-mile system that will one day connect Summerlin to trails across the Las Vegas Valley and out toward Red Rock Canyon. Some of these routes run alongside the 215 beltway and through flood control channels, creating more space for walking, biking, and exploring.

What makes this exciting is that it turns everyday parts of the city into something more inviting. A trail near your neighborhood is no longer just a path. It can become the start of a much bigger outing.

You do not have to wait for the entire system to feel finished to enjoy it. Start by picking a trail you’ve never tried and seeing where it leads.
