Wednesday
🎨 Crafting in the Canyon: Oil Pastel Transfer Drawings | 10 a.m.-noon | Red Rock Canyon NCA
This morning art-and-nature program keeps the outdoor time earlier in the day, but registration, water, and heat awareness still matter.

🎶 Summerlin Sounds: Million Dollar Band and Sidney Patrick | 6-9 p.m. | The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin

🤠 Jakota Wass | 6 p.m. | Stoney's North Forty
Grab your boots and head for the hardwood. This up-and-coming country artist hits the stage Wednesday night, with line-dance lessons at 7:30 and 8:30 if you want to make a full night of it.

Night two of the homestand keeps Summerlin baseball on the calendar.
Thursday
🥾 Red Rock Canyon History Hike | 8-10 a.m. | Red Rock Canyon NCA
The early start helps for hikers who want a guided Red Rock morning, but this is still a hot-weather outing. Register ahead and bring more water than you think you need.
📚 Midsummer Celebration: Summer Challenge | 2-4 p.m. | Summerlin Library
The Library District marks the halfway point of Summer Challenge with an indoor family stop for kids who need something cooler than the sidewalk.
⚾ Las Vegas Aviators vs. Round Rock Express | 7:05 p.m. | Las Vegas Ballpark
Thursday night keeps the homestand rolling at Las Vegas Ballpark.
🔔 Neon City Rhythms | Faith Lutheran Middle School and High School
Handbell musicians gather in Summerlin for the Area 12 conference, with classes, massed ringing, and a final concert open to the public. Check the event page for the public-facing concert timing before heading over.

The S&P 500 Has Become One Big Bet. It’s Only Getting Bigger.
The index's top ten stocks make up nearly 40% of its total value as of Q226. All have some connection to AI.
Now SpaceX is filing its IPO. Priced at 92x sales. Lost $5 billion last year.
Robert Arnott, chairman of Research Affiliates, called it "ludicrous" in the WSJ this month but said he'd gladly buy SpaceX anyway. His reason? Index funds have to buy it to avoid trailing the benchmark.
It’s becoming a very crowded boat, and moreso with Anthropic and OpenAI IPOs around the corner.
One market operates on different mechanics - Art. It's what the ultra wealthy have used to diversify for decades.
Why?
Alternative market: blue-chip works priced by collectors competing globally for a fixed supply of physical assets
Independence: the postwar contemporary segment has near zero correlation with equity markets since 1995*
Resilience: demand has held across certain recessions, rate cycles, and market crashes
Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso.
$1.3 billion has been deployed across 530 artworks. Net annualized returns like 16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8% on works held longer than a year.
