The 25th Annual Tour de Summerlin Rides In

A staple of community and one of the top 10 cycling events in the nation is set to take place on Saturday, April 18th.

The anniversary edition of the race features three race distances covering 20, 40, and 80 miles. Despite the daunting name the event is widely considered as accommodating to riders of all skill levels. The event is entirely untimed, instead focusing on the beauty of the Summerlin and Red Rock area.

Sadly, the deadline to register as a participant has passed, but don’t let that stop you from out there if the spirit of the event has you in mood to ride consider any other portion of Summerlin’s 200+ miles of trails or the beltway trail along the 215.

In any case we hope that you take advantage of this great weather while we can. To all those participating in the event, enjoy!

Your New Matcha Spot

Leev Matcha Atelier is slated to open their doors this week on April 18th.

The specialty drinks are as picture worthy as the quaint Norman Rockwell Lane that it sits on. In addition to their matcha beverages they offer sweet treats like Japanese parfaits and specialty soft serve with both being as easy on the eyes as they are the stomach, no comment on the waistline though.

Get in line early as the first 3 guests will receive free matcha for a year plus a free matcha affogato. The next 97 guests will receive a free affogato, so get in and support a new local business!

Tuesday

Tacos & Tires - Head to Casa Real (7121 W. Craig Rd #101) from 6-9 pm for curbside tacos, live music, a car show, and drink specials inside.

Wednesday

Your Vegas Golden Knights close out the regular season by hosting the Seattle Kraken. Having already clinched the playoffs with a 3-2 win over the Avalanche we can breathe easy and prepare for the playoffs ahead.

Friday

Jazz and Blues in the Park - The International Opera Institute is hosting an evening of Jazz and Blues in Gardens Park at 6:30 pm

Sunday

Butterfly Release at Downtown Summerlin Nathan Adelson Hospice’s “Celebration of Life” Live Butterfly Release is set for Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at The Lawn.

Monday

See your local dispensary for 4/20 deals, but should you not be partaking in the the “holiday” the Red Cross is putting on a blood drive from 11 am to 5 pm at the Sahara West Library

🏞 A New Park: the BLM is seeking comment on a proposed lease and conveyance of 122 acres for a new community park in Skye Canyon at the northwest corner of Log Cabin Way and El Capitan Way.
