Pet of the Week!

Meet Grayson, a 15-pound mini Aussie on full-time bird patrol, with the baby blues to get away with it.
Good morning, Northwest.
Polls are open until 7 tonight, and the clocks fell back Sunday. One more clock needs a reset: the sprinkler timer. Northwest yards are down to one watering day a week through February, so we laid out how to find yours.
This week:
Your one watering day
Election Day practicals
Parks town hall and a planetarium
GO VOTE, then reset that timer.

A CRM so smart, it updates itself.
HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.
Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.
This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.

One Watering Day a Week Starts Now

Sunday's time change was the easy reset. The one that can cost you sits on a garage wall: from Nov. 1 through Feb. 28, the Southern Nevada Water Authority limits landscape irrigation to one assigned day a week. Sunday watering stays off the table all year.
Your day comes from your watering group, printed on your water bill. On the Las Vegas Valley Water District's winter schedule, Group A waters Monday, Group B Tuesday and so on through Group F on Saturday. The group lines follow streets like Cheyenne Avenue and Summerlin Parkway, so look up your own address instead of copying a neighbor two blocks over.
The lawn needs less than your summer settings assume. LVVWD says dormant Bermuda grass needs water about once a month from November through March. On your day, keep sprinklers to about 12 minutes total, run as three 4-minute cycles an hour apart on pop-up heads. Water midmorning to dodge afternoon wind and early-morning ice. Drip lines follow the same one-day limit.
Leave the timer on its October schedule and the timer is the one breaking the rules. Watering on the wrong day counts as water waste, and depending on your provider, fees run from $40 to as much as $5,000 for repeat violations. Hand watering with a hose and supervised system tests are allowed any day.
Reset it once this week and you are done until March.
