Good morning, Northwest Las Vegas.
This week is coming in hot, but can we relive the weekend? Did you see the Nascar race at Coronado? There are few scenes that can rival the patriotism projected by tens of thousands of red blooded Americans, service men and women, a naval ship more advanced than many countries entire navy’s and screaming V8 engines.
In today’s Northwest Digest:

Omelette Cafe
Shrinkflation does not exist here.
Omelette Cafe is a family run breakfast joint with some of the most generous portions you have seen in your life. Their signature is that every omelette is 8 EGGS and that’s before they add any mix-ins to create any of their 41 different omelettes available.
They took over the reigns of the former Egg Works location on Flamingo and within a weeks time had the place turned around and ready to serve you. This is not only a testament to the fact that the family has three breakfast restaurants under management and knows what they’re doing, but also that they are extremely passionate.
This was no rush job either. They took the time to show off their Chicago roots with enough midwest decoration to make the place feel homely, but not so much as to make you feel intimidated if you happen to be wearing a Detroit Tigers Hat. They even got the train running! A delight every time it passed by me at the bar.
Back to the portions, even the banana bread was massive, tender, moist hunk. I made banana bread last week and this single slice would have taken up half of my loaf pan and was just as delicious.
I didn’t get to ask, but I believe I spotted whole loaves available for purchase in a glass fridge.
If you happen to come on Friday’s you’ll get a chance to be serenaded by Guiseppe softly singing away yacht rock and other jams. He travels to their other Omelette Cafe location in Skye Canyon later in the day if you want a second helping.
Please come check out the Omeltte Cafe if you want a great breakfast experience that will leave you smiling with a full belly and leftovers in hand.

EVENTS
Week Ahead
Tuesday, June 23
9 AM | Celebrate Pure Barre’s 25th Anniversary | Downtown Summerlin
Pure Barre gets a daytime birthday lap at Downtown Summerlin, which is a nice excuse to make your morning workout feel slightly more like a party and slightly less like a plank negotiation.
5 PM | LeTip Mixer | Centennial Parkway
LeTip is the referral network that truly are looking for. The members will gladly make small talk, but the organization is built around understanding each other’s needs and sending tips for people or customers that could fill those needs. The Parkway mixer is a more laid back event, but still a great way to reach the community.
6:30-7:30 PM | Meditation Made Simple | Summerlin Library
If your week is already loud by Tuesday evening, Summerlin Library has the counter-programming: a free guided meditation session with Cindy Guerrero, who brings the shaman/therapist/yoga teacher combo to the room.
7 PM | Fitness on The Lawn: Pure Barre | Downtown Summerlin
The second Pure Barre option of the day moves outside to The Lawn. Bring a mat, prepare to find a few muscles you forgot existed, and then pretend walking back to the car was part of the cool-down.
Wednesday, June 24
4:30-5:30 PM | Peter and the Wolf with The Fratello Marionettes | Summerlin Library
A library afternoon with actual strings attached, in the best way. The Fratello Marionettes bring Peter and the Wolf to Summerlin Library for a free family show that is much more charming than another hour of tablet negotiations.
6-9 PM | Summerlin Sounds | The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin
Summerlin Sounds opens the midweek concert lane with Moonshiners and 241Z. It is the easy version of a summer night out: music on the lawn, kids activities nearby, and dinner options doing the heavy lifting around the edges.
6-9 PM | Friends of Figma Config Watch Party | Private Summerlin residence
This is the hidden-gem pick for the design and tech crowd: Config on the big screen, real conversations about the announcements, and a 21+ Summerlin hangout with the address shared after RSVP.
Thursday, June 25
7-8:30 AM | Earlybird Morning Stroll | Red Rock Canyon NCA
The desert rewards people who set an alarm. Red Rock's Earlybird Morning Stroll gets you out on the trail while the canyon still feels like it is doing you a favor.
2-4:30 PM | Teen STEAM: Maker Matinee | Centennial Hills Library
The assignment is Shrek and slime, which is honestly clearer programming than most adult networking events. Centennial Hills Library is giving teens a cool indoor project with just enough mess to feel like summer.
4 PM | Sun City Garden Club | Mountain Shadows High Sierra Room
For Sun City readers, the Garden Club’s June topic is wonderfully specific: Gardens of Las Vegas Design Winners and Common Mistakes. Treat this one as a resident/access-check item, but it is exactly the kind of local club programming that makes the calendar feel lived-in.
6-8 PM | Rouge Rendezvous | Rouge Room at Red Rock
Red Rock gets the polished networking lane Thursday with a monthly Rouge Room mixer for entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders. The listing teases indoor-outdoor lounge access and a complimentary drink, which is doing more work than most networking icebreakers.
6:30-8 PM | Ward 6 ConnectHER Craft Connections | Board & Brush Centennial Hills
City Hall’s northwest social calendar is getting crafty: a guided DIY home decor workshop at Board & Brush, with materials included and the CONNECTHER discount code doing its civic duty.
7 PM | USA vs. Türkiye Watch Party | PKWY Tavern Marks
Team USA gets the big-screen treatment at PKWY Tavern Marks, with the Las Vegas Lights tying in giveaways and match-day energy. Not in the northwest core, but close enough for anyone who wants a proper room instead of yelling at a living-room TV.

🏫 Skye Canyon gets its next school: CCSD broke ground Monday on the new Skye Canyon Elementary School campus, a 53-classroom build designed for up to 850 students and scheduled to open in August 2027. For a part of town that keeps adding rooftops, this is the kind of infrastructure update that actually changes the daily map for families. Read more.
