🎻 Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival (Saturday, April 11; 11 a.m.–7 p.m.)
The 10th annual Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival transforms Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre into a day‑long celebration of bluegrass and Americana. Headliner Sierra Hull, a six‑time Grammy‑nominated mandolin phenom, tops a stacked lineup of acts including Chatham Rabbits and Honey Buckets. Pack a blanket or low‑back chair and browse the artisan marketplace for folk art and jewelry, then refuel on festival favorites like barbecue, burgers, sweet treats and margaritas. Kids will love the hands‑on art activities and pop‑up recreation games. It’s all free, but outside food, drinks and pets are prohibited. Arrive early to snag a spot on the lawn and enjoy music from 11 a.m. until the sun goes down.
🤠 Great Northwest Country Fest (Saturday, April 11; 2 p.m.–6 p.m.)
If Centennial Hills has bluegrass, then nearby Lone Mountain Park brings the Old West to life. The Great Northwest Country Fest invites families to a free, country‑themed afternoon at the Lone Mountain Equestrian Park. Enjoy live country music from Jasmine Rayne, Matt Cooper and Sam Riddle while you wander through the market and sip on complimentary barbecue. Kids will love the petting zoo, games and interactive activities, and the gunfighters show adds a Wild West flourish. With free admission, plenty of free food and a relaxed community vibe, this family friendly event is sure to win you over.
🌮 Tacos & Tamales Festival (Saturday & Sunday, April 11–12; 10 a.m.–10 p.m./8 p.m.)
Bonus
For a taste of Latin America head to Desert Breeze Park in Spring Valley, where the two‑day Tacos & Tamales Festival promises culinary bliss. Local food trucks and restaurants serve up traditional street‑style tacos, handmade tamales and creative twists on classic recipes. Beyond the food, the festival features live music, Lucha Libre wrestling, a spray‑paint art battle, a kids’ market and carnival rides. Adults can sample tequila and cerveza during special tastings and watch cooking demonstrations. The event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday until 8 p.m.; tickets are available online, with upgrades for alcohol tastings and multi‑day passes.

🏘️ Monument Hills Master Plan: Las Vegas city leaders are moving forward with Monument Hills, a planned 940-acre development in Ward 6. This project includes homes, shops, parks, and public facilities. A key part of the plan is to set aside about 350 homes for military families from Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases, making sure they have affordable housing near their jobs.
🛣 The Beltway Widens: Clark County officials have announced a big roadwork project to help reduce traffic on the 215 Beltway. The plan involves adding more lanes and building new ramps to make it easier for cars to move along the 215 Beltway and Charleston Boulevard.
👨🎤 Bruno Mars Day: To celebrate the singers new residence and his long-standing (and notorious) relationship with Las Vegas a free parade will take place on April 10th at 1:30 pm. Go check it out for free as they drive down a portion of the Strip, ending at the Toshiba Plaza
🐂 The Rodeo Rides in: The Clark County Fair & Rodeo comes to Logandale once more. This 5 Day event brings some of the top athletes in the business.
