Good morning, Las Vegas. The Aviators built three different excuses to head to the ballpark this week: Copa de la Diversión on Tuesday, Bark on the Berm Wednesday, and $2 Beer Night Thursday. Beyond the outfield, there are crafts, board games, early networking and a bat walk at Red Rock.

TEN DOLLARS, TWELVE MONTHS

The Northwest's Best $10 Membership Is for People 50 and Up
Ten dollars does not buy much of a lunch anymore. At the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, it buys a year of reasons to leave the house.
The center at 6601 N. Buffalo Drive is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its annual membership is $10 for adults 50 and older. The seasonal calendar includes exercise and educational classes, computer learning, book club, gardening meetings, card making, quilting, and enough table games to expose exactly how competitive your neighbors are.
The building also has an indoor lap pool, fitness room, computer lab, and library. Some classes, events, and fitness access cost extra, so the annual membership is the front door rather than an unlimited pass. The city currently lists a 30-day fitness pass at $10, but fees should be checked when you register.
Subscribe to the center's monthly updates HERE so you don’t have to remember the event schedule, because they do change each season.

EVENTS
Week Ahead
Tuesday, August 25
🤝 LeTip of Summerlin | 7:01-8:31 a.m. | Egg Works, 2025 Village Center Circle
Owners and client-facing professionals trade referrals before the workday starts. Contact the chapter before visiting so it can confirm your seat and business category.
🎨 Crafternight | 5:30-7 p.m. | Centennial Hills Library
The library supplies the project materials, which makes this an easy after-work craft night for adults who want to make something without buying another drawer of supplies.
⚾ Aviators vs. Sugar Land: Copa de la Diversión | 7:05 p.m. | Las Vegas Ballpark
The Aviators open the homestand as the Reyes de Plata, the Silver Kings. It is the most distinct theme of the three-game stretch if you only plan to catch one.
🍽️ Today's Deal: Grimaldi's Pizzeria — Weekday lunch runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with a $4 slice, a $7.49 slice-and-drink combo, or a $10.99 slice, salad and drink combo. Toppings are 75 cents each; the Rampart location participates.
Wednesday, August 26
🤝 LeTip of Las Vegas | 7:01-8:31 a.m. | Canyon Gate Country Club
This is the early room for business owners and sales professionals who prefer introductions over another hour of cold outreach. Contact chapter leadership before attending.

Guests can watch or practice prepared speaking, quick responses and useful feedback during lunch. Register through the event page before walking in.
🎲 Tabletop Game Night | 5-7 p.m. | Centennial Hills Library
Cards and games are already on the tables, so newcomers can learn something without showing up with a collection or a regular group.
🏛️ Red Rock Citizens Advisory Council | 7 p.m. | Blue Diamond Library
The public meeting is an early look at west-valley land-use and neighborhood questions before later county action. The agenda is a proposal list, not a final decision sheet.
🐕 Aviators vs. Sugar Land: Bark on the Berm | 7:05 p.m. | Las Vegas Ballpark
This is the homestand's dog night. Read the ballpark's pet rules before bringing a four-legged seatmate.
Thursday, August 27
🤝 LeTip of Desert Springs | 7:01-8:31 a.m. | Red Rock Country Club
The 28-member chapter meets on the west edge of Summerlin. Visitors need to connect with chapter leadership first.
🦇 Bat Walk at Red Springs | 6-8 p.m. | Red Rock Canyon
The guided evening program is timed for bat activity around Red Springs. Registration matters, and the active Extreme Heat Warning could change field operations, so confirm the program before leaving.
🍺 Aviators vs. Sugar Land: Country Night and $2 Beer Night | 7:05 p.m. | Las Vegas Ballpark
Thursday pairs the game with country music and the homestand's budget beer promotion. The $2 offer is for guests 21 and older.
🍽️ Today's Deal: Al's Garage — The Thursday steak-and-king-crab special is $30, down from the posted $49 regular price, at 11760 W. Charleston Boulevard.
Northwest Briefing
📡 Cox is now Spectrum in Southern Nevada. Charter completed its acquisition on August 20. Existing Cox plans, prices and service stay put for now; Spectrum branding, pricing and packages are expected to begin rolling into former Cox markets in mid-September. Northwest households do not need to change accounts today, but should watch their bills and account notices during the transition.
🏘️ The city approved 130 attached homes at Skye Summit. The City Council voted 7-0 for the 10.27-acre subdivision at the Centennial Parkway terminus west of the 215, along with related land-use and wall-height changes. The action minutes do not set a construction date.
🍔 A drive-through and auto-repair project cleared its Ward 6 vote. Council voted 7-0 for a 1,872-square-foot restaurant and 3,285-square-foot garage on Sky Pointe Drive west of Tenaya Way, despite staff recommending denial. No restaurant or repair-shop operator is named yet.
